近日剛從故鄉台東回到台北。在台東時，聽到家人在說，台北陳立數學的陳立老師，在台東縣長的邀約下，自己來台東，每周一次，開不同階段的免費課程，讓偏鄉的學童可以享有都市的教學資源。我台東老家的堂弟，趁著開課之初，也在家人的報名下，準備要周六去上陳立老師的課。
當下內心真的是感謝陳立老師之外，也許是因為王金平「關說」事件的影響吧，我第一個想到的還是，這就是地方政治阿。我小時候對於地方政治的理解，就是奠基在人與人之間情感與關係的交錯所不斷發展形成的。
這突如其來的政治風波，無論召開幾次記者會，最終，王金平還是被馬英九被撤銷黨籍了。
許多人討論憲政問題，我則想談談一些常識。
柯建銘跟王金平在民間社會給大家怎樣的印象，不用熟識兩人的知情人士揭密，民眾心裡也有一把尺。馬英九要拿「關說」兩字，拉下王金平，與其顯示他的團隊無能，不如說是「無用」，無法作用，誰在馬英九身邊都無用。
美國有名的前眾議院院長歐尼爾 (Tip O’Neill)，講過一句膾炙人口的名言，那就是「所有的政治都是地方政治」（ All politics are local ）。我對於這句話的理解，就是剛剛說的我對於地方政治的理解，而王金平就是最能詮釋這句話的台灣代表政治人物。
在這段時間，由不同人召開的這麼多記者會中，我認為柯建銘的記者會內容是最透徹，並講出政治某部分的本質，也應該是一般民間老百姓可以理解與體會的。
柯建銘首先說，他是在案子判決無罪後向王金平提到，「王院長聽完故事後，當然要有一些動作，但其實應付、安慰我的成分很高。」 (接下一頁)
