外埔區永豐社區發展協會舉辦虎腳庄桐花產銷活動，千餘遊客湧入，叫賣及表演聲四溢，偏僻的鄉村農地一時熱鬧起來。記者陳榮昌／攝

外埔區永豐社區發展協會昨日舉辦虎腳庄桐花產銷活動，有歌舞、有吃又有新鮮蔬果可買，虎腳庄市集一時湧進千餘民眾參與，偏僻的農村人車擁塞，活動十分熱鬧。
永豐社區理事長洪俊義發起推銷產地蔬果，觀賞水流東及三公里的桐花之美，而在虎腳庄農夫市集舉辦虎腳庄桐花產銷活動，想不到成效至佳，一大早人潮湧進，在旁的鄉路集滿車輛，交通通行困難。
台上演奏著國樂曲正式展開活動，立委蔡其昌、市議員吳敏濟、區長劉陳吻、公所主秘陳鴻明等數十位人士應邀觀禮，大會還分送雞蛋、碗糕給民眾免費品嚐，並有原產地的紅龍果試吃，台上還不斷表演手語舞蹈並由來賓自由唱。台下三十餘攤新鮮的農產品，選購聲不斷，現場熱鬧非常。
虎腳庄農夫集，三年前在外埔鄉公所協助下成立，當時才有二十餘個當地生產無毒的果菜攤，雖沒有太顯眼的農產品，和冬天水果產品少，致外界原認為不多久就成歷史，可是農民對新鮮疏果及當地的水流東、三公里的桐花群之不同美景抱著相當信心，而堅持每星期都排攤一天，從不間斷。期間來外埔騎自行車賞景的遊客都會到市集走一走、買一點新鮮當地產品。
昨日虎腳庄桐花產銷活動意外來了千餘遊客，讓偏僻的永豐村熱起來。吳敏濟表示，前來的車輛造成交通不暢、遊客找不到廁所，讓遊客十分難堪。市長胡志強曾表示會協助市集提升經營，但交通及廁所問題，實應先給了協助處理，繁榮農村的美夢始會實現。
