老房子重生 繼續說著故事

阿里山腳下的嘉義，得天獨厚，檜木舊屋不少，檜意森活村是官版搶修老房舍活化再利用，民間修復老房子更早啟動，余國信搶救玉山旅社、「二通．六七二」打造成多元藝文空間，小為師傅陳玟伶翻修銀行官舍，經營「這裡」料理店，各具魅力。

6年級小為師傅愛老東西，多年來已整修數間檜木老宅，有木構搭鋼筋混凝土老屋、80年印刷廠，近年再整修已頹圮如廢墟的一棟銀行官舍，由深諳舊工法的65歲木工老師傅慢工細活修復，保留日式屋子的內部空間設計及大量的檜木樑柱，搭配小石燈、石子小徑等日式庭園造景，幽靜雅致，用餐客人流連，還有學術單位想考究。

洪雅協會余國信繼搶救北門驛60年玉山旅社之後，最新力作是「二通．六七二」，日治時期稱現今中正路為二通，六七二是這棟70年舊屋的門牌號碼，這2棟老房子都由曾修建霧峰林家花園、南投紙教堂的志工「小毛」孫崇傑，一起整修。

玉山旅社、「二通．六七二」都經營背包客旅店兼賣咖啡，並不定期舉辦藝文展演，讓老房子重生，和人互動共生，繼續說故事。
