林純金確定不選嘉義縣長

國民黨嘉義縣長人選出現大轉折，原本有意參選的東石鄉長林純金決定不選，國民黨嘉義縣黨部主委黃耀仁今天證實此事，並說，林純金不選的原因是看到高層政爭，基層同仁又不團結，讓他萌生退意。黃耀仁強調，雖然林不選，國民黨還是有「配套措施」，一定會推出優秀人才參選。

今年2月林純金接受本報專訪時，曾表示「會慎重考慮選縣長」，一度讓國民黨士氣大振。不過，最近地方卻盛傳林純金萌生退意，引爆藍營高層及基層的議論，記者今天向林純金查證，林說，他的心意已全部告訴黃耀仁，要記者問黃耀仁。

黃耀仁說，日前林純金確實有告訴他將放棄參選，並有新的生涯規劃。林純金決定不選的原因，是看到國民黨高層政爭不斷，加上基層同志又不團結，讓他有「不知為誰而戰、為何而戰」之嘆，因此決定放棄參選。
