南屯區三義兒童公園22日啟用，市長胡志強親自剪綵，他說，這座公園雖然面積小，卻是最貴的公園，市府不只做大建設，工程小，也會努力去做，未來這樣的小型建設將一直推動下去。
三義兒童公園雖然面積僅約1500平方公尺，在完善的規劃下，兼具了安全休憩、景觀綠美化、地面高透水率及節能減碳等多種功能，呈現小而美、小而巧的鄰里公園風貌，讓當地民眾相當開心。
22日的啟用典禮除了胡志強外，南屯市議員朱暖英、劉士州、張耀中及何文海、三義里里長陳惠鈴及當地居民均共同出席觀禮，建設局還安排多位社區媽媽演出戰鼓秀，歡喜迎接小公園的誕生。
胡志強表示，三年前三義里里長陳惠鈴建議在這裏蓋一座公園，經過南屯區不分黨派市議員合力支持下，市府克服各種困難，終於順利完工，希望讓南屯區的生活愈來愈好。
市議員朱暖英表示，這座公園用地的徵收經費逐年增加，爭取過程相當不易，希望市府能再規劃一座管理室，讓公園得到妥善管理。市議員劉士州也對胡市長表示感謝，並建議下一步是讓三義里擁有一座社區活動中心。
建設局指出，三義兒童公園從今年7月2日動工後，僅二個月的工期就施工完成，工程經費250萬元，但由於位處精華地段，土地徵收費用高達1億7550萬元。公園設計區分為多個元素，包括體健運動區、兒童遊戲區、活動廣場、環園步道及草坪等，巧妙整合出一個小而美、小而巧的鄰里公園。
建設局表示，三義兒童公園綠覆率超過60%，並盡量採用透水性鋪面，總透水率高達75%以上，能讓雨水自然下滲，減少附近雨水逕流、補注地下水，符合低碳城市的概念。此外，透過周邊居民的生活形態調查與多次地方鄰里代表說明溝通後，設計出符合當地需求的公園機能，希望讓居民享有一個多樣化的休憩場所。
